The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is creating huge challenges throughout the globe, and Shaw Pallet now finds itself at the centre of initiatives to assist the herculean efforts of UK Industry.
Many of the company’s clients are classified as ‘essential’ providers of goods which are critically important; this has led a number to advise the necessary authorities that Shaw Pallet are their nominated ‘Critical Supply Chain Partner’ and that the company must be allowed to continue to manufacture timber packaging to ensure that much needed production processes remain free of interruption.
Shaw Pallet colleagues are now equipped with official ‘key-worker’ statements so that both they and the relevant authorities know the importance of the work they are carrying out on behalf of suppliers to the NHS and the food sectors.
As part of our COVID-19 project we have audited all facilities, stepped up cleaning and hygiene routines and advised staff of the likely requirements for flexible working arrangements over what is anticipated to be a sustained period.
Our own suppliers remain exceedingly important to our efforts, and we are grateful for their reaction to our requests as we attempt to satisfy the UK’s national demands.
