Their Kirkstall Road factory was flooded and despite huge efforts at the plant, vital machinery had to be saved and re-located to provide supply continuity for a South American automotive client. The only way for ThyssenKrupp to fulfil their commitments was to ship the machinery across to a facility in South America and finish production there – but deadlines were tight!
Late in the evening, and with less than 48 hours to meet the shipping date, Shaw Pallet’s Chris Hillaby was asked if could make and supply pallets and packaging material for the machinery move. Despite the need for non-standard products, the team at Shaw Pallet pulled out all the stops and the items were delivered by 10 AM the next morning – enabling ThyssenKrupp to make the shipment with time to spare.

“When I got the call I knew we would be able to help. We were able to design the packaging needed and our production team came in especially early to make sure they were delivered in time to catch the boat.”
