The trucks are specially designed for use in the paper industry where odd shaped and heavy, but delicate items, need to be moved around factories and warehouses. Each machine is a bespoke design and so each timber packing crate needed to be custom made for maximum protection on their transatlantic journey.
Shaw Pallet MD, Chris Hillaby, rose to the challenge and designed a series of export packing cases made from heat treated timber that was ISPM15 compliant. Commenting on the project, Chris said “The pallet side of our business requires standardisation and attention to detail as each one has to be the same size and specification. This packaging challenge was the exact opposite because specific crates were designed and manufactured to hold unusually shaped vehicles. We thrive on this type of challenge and were delighted to help get these fantastic fork lifts to their destination in the USA in prime condition.”
